Terms of Service

1. Definitions

• "Host": a user who signs in with Threads or another account, publishes an Ask Link, and answers questions
• "Guest": a user who sends anonymous questions to a Host, or purchases gifts or memberships
• "Content": questions, answers, images, profile data, and other information users submit or publish on the Service

2. The Service

The Service lets Hosts receive anonymous questions from their followers, create answer images, and publish them to Threads and other platforms.

Hosts may offer paid Priority Asks, appreciation gifts, and monthly memberships. Hosts decide the content, price, and benefits of these offerings.

3. Accounts

• Hosts authenticate with Threads or another external account and are responsible for that account
• Guests can use the Service anonymously and may optionally register an email address to view their question history and receive answer notifications
• If you are under 18, use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian
• The Operator may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms or are used fraudulently

4. Anonymity

The Operator does not disclose a Guest's name, email address, or other identifying information to Hosts, except where required by law, to protect life or physical safety, or to respond to serious violations of these Terms.

If you include identifying information in the text of a question yourself, that text will be shown to the Host.

5. Prohibited conduct

• Defamation, threats, harassment, hate speech, or stalking
• Posting personal information of others, or impersonation
• Sexually explicit, violent, or illegal content, or content that endangers children
• Spam, bulk promotional messages, excessive load on the Service, or scraping
• Fraudulent payments, chargeback abuse, or money laundering
• Anything that violates laws or infringes the rights of others (including intellectual property and privacy)

6. Moderation and removal

Questions sent by Guests are screened automatically using OpenAI's moderation API, and questions flagged as inappropriate may be rejected.

The Operator may hide or remove Content that violates or may violate these Terms without prior notice. Users can report inappropriate Content using the report feature.

7. Ownership of Content

Users or the rightful owners retain the rights to their Content.

You grant the Operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your Content to the extent necessary to provide, operate, and improve the Service. When a Host publishes an answer to Threads or another platform, that platform's terms apply to the post.

8. Payments and fees

Payments are processed by Stripe. The Operator does not store card numbers or other payment credentials.

The amount paid by a Guest, minus the Operator's platform fee and payment processing fees, is transferred to the Host through Stripe Connect. Hosts must complete Stripe's identity verification to receive payouts.

9. Third-party services

The Service integrates with Threads (Meta), X, Stripe, Supabase, Cloudflare, OpenAI, Resend, and other providers, whose own terms and policies also apply.

The Operator is not responsible beyond a reasonable extent for impacts caused by outages or changes in third-party services.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not responsible for interactions or transactions between users, or for the content of answers or benefits provided by Hosts.

Where the Operator is liable for damages, its liability is limited to the total amount you paid through the Service in the preceding 12 months, except in cases of the Operator's willful misconduct or gross negligence, or where such limitation is not permitted by law.

11. Changes, termination, and leaving the Service

The Operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service, and will give reasonable advance notice of material changes.

You may stop using the Service at any time. See "Data Deletion" (/data-deletion) for how to delete your data.

12. Changes to these Terms

The Operator may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the Service, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply.
